With changing seasons comes changing fish species and eating habits.. This time of year the Charter fleet switches to a full blown live bait method and starts changing to a much closer fishing location. As the water cools we stay closer to the edge of the Reef for our pelagic fish.. Sailfish being the main attraction.. but also wahoo, king mackerel, blackfin tuna., and still the occasional dolphin fish. This weekend (Dec 16) ended up being a great time for King mackerel and some bigger size tuna. Limiting out on kings each day and picking a few larger black fins. Wahoos are consistently being caught further north off key largo and sailfish dominantly being caught off Islamorada. Hope everyone books there trips soon we are coming up on a busy couple of weeks!!
