Winter is here… that means sailfish and wahoo close to home

This time of year the action is close to home. Sailfish have been on the Reef and almost everyone this past week was able to catch the sailfish they traveled here to Islamorada for.    Calm days aren’t exactly the best days for your sailfish folks so don’t be afraid of a cool breeze.   Colder windy days sure do produce some good sailfish action.  Also this time of year the wahoo are in close and hungry.   High speed trolling with heavy wahoo lures has been effective in the morning hours.   Live bait for wahoo if you have your wire rigs and either cigar minnows and speedos for bait has been quite productive on the 125-180 ft wrecks.    Look for the color change folks and put out your live baits.  Good luck and book your trips today.
